I built TinyWatch around devices I already use. I am self-employed, spend much of my workday on a laptop, and travel with my child. During a nap, I can leave an iPhone in the room and open the live view on my computer or another nearby screen.
I did not want to pack a separate baby monitor, receiver, and another type of charger. I also did not want to turn FaceTime, WhatsApp, or another general calling app into a makeshift room camera. Those services are designed for conversations and depend on communication accounts and external service infrastructure.
I wanted the room video and audio to travel locally between my devices on the same Wi-Fi, without a TinyWatch account or TinyWatch cloud video relay. That practical requirement became TinyWatch.
Being a mother, a self-employed founder, and a traveler gives me firsthand context for the product. It does not make TinyWatch medical or safety equipment. The app supports nearby room check-ins and never replaces direct adult supervision.
